Gulf Coast Beer and Bacon Festival ups the competition

Some exciting news for anyone entering this year’s upcoming Gulf Coast Beer and Bacon Festival.

Going into its third year, the festival is now an elite qualifier for the World’s Largest Food Sport Competition.

Held in Dallas, Texas each November, meaning one of 16 cooks in the region competing in Beer and Bacon Fest will qualify to represent the Gulf Coast against more than 300 teams from around the world.

Event Producer Katherine Sutton says this is an incredible opportunity for a chef and it shows just how far the festival has come in a few years. “It’s awesome to create an event that people go to. It’s also awesome to create an event that people want to be a part of. This steps our event up a caliber for the Gulf Coast. There are so many great chefs on the Coast and we are just excited to be able to highlight them.”

The third annual Beer and Bacon Fest is scheduled for March 5th.
