Grant me Hope: 14-year-old Thomas hopes to get adopted

Every Monday here on WXXV we feature a child from Mississippi hoping to get adopted. Today you will meet 14-year-old Thomas. He wants a family that will talk with him, be interested in him and spend quality time with him.

My name is Thomas, and I’m 14 and I’m happy to be here.  I love to go fishing.  Last week I went fishing and caught a bream. I would like to go camping one day so I can go fishing, sleep in a tent, and do a ton of things I love.  I also want to go camping because I really like nature.

I enjoy making new friends, why because they’re just cool and fun to hang out with.  I’m really good at being peoples’ friends.  A good friend is someone who takes care of the other person.  They don’t get mad easily at the other person.  A good friend is someone who is forgiving and loving.  With my friends I like to play video games and talk to them.

When I get older, I would like to be a veterinarian or a fire fighter.  Because I love animals.  I used to have guinea pigs named Shadow and Stamper.

I would feel happy if I get adopted. Adoption means someone would take someone to their house who’s not their own kid.  They take care of people and they treat the kid like they are their own.  A new family for the rest of your life.  If I was adopted, I would give back to the family.

If I was adopted, I would be grateful and happy.

If you would like to learn more about adopting Thomas call 601-359-4133. The Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services website is www.mdcps.ms.gov.

Next Monday at this time we will feature children from Mississippi hoping to find a new home.
