Grant me Hope: 13-year-old Richard hopes to be adopted!

Every Monday here on WXXV we feature a child from Mississippi hoping to get adopted. Today you will meet 13-year-old Richard. He’s looking for an adventure and a home.

Richard is a sweet, thirteen year old boy who is looking to be adopted into a wonderful family.

Richard loves an adventure. Anything with a siren is his favorite thing.

He loves trains and thinks he would make an excellent train conductor. “I’d like to be a Halloween train conductor, and I’d like to walk with the trick or treaters.”

“I like to play with my friends… cars, trucks, and fire trucks.”

Richard loves animals, especially cats. “I like to plant flowers because they’re colorful. My favorite board-game is Candyland. I’d like to learn to fish.”

“My family lives in a house. Because I’d like my mom to be safe.” He will need a structured home with plenty of time and attention to devote to him. “If I were to be adopted to a family, I would be very happy.

He says family life will be his dream come true. “The most important thing that makes me happy is to smile because I’m a happy kid.”
