Fundraiser Helps Raise Money for Loaves and Fishes Community Kitchen

Today’s fund raiser at Church of the Redeemer on Water Street raised money for the Loaves and Fishes Community Kitchen. Several businesses from across the coast helped put on today’s event, including the Biloxi Police Department, who tell us why helping feed the homeless is just as important on Memorial Day.
Captain Harold Windom said, “If you look at the homeless population around Biloxi, a lot of them are veterans. So there again, we’re still giving to the veterans and it means a lot. There are a lot of folks who need help.”
Loaves and Fishes started in 1983 and serve an average of 6,000 to 8,000 meals per month.
