Free Prostate Screenings at Garden Park Hospital

It’s the number one cancer in men, but you can get a free prostate cancer screening thanks to Garden Park Medical Center.
The free screening will take place tomorrow from 5 to 7 at Gulfport’s Garden Park Hospital, located on Community Road.
All men are encouraged to start these types of screenings at age 50. Those who are at higher risk,such as African American men and those with a family history, are urged to begin screenings at age 40.
Dr. Joseph Cottone, Garden Park Medical Center urologist, said, “September is ‘Prostate Cancer Awareness Month’. Garden Park Hospital has really embraced it and we screen for it every year.”
To make an appointment, or for more info, you can call 228-575-7330. Appointments aren’t necessary, just show up at the hospital. The tests don’t take long and could end up saving your life.
