Free hand sanitizer pickup in Jackson County Wednesday

Many everyday items have become very hard to find thanks to the COVID-19 outbreak. One of the items you will most likely not find on a shelf right now is hand sanitizer.

One place you will find hand sanitizer is Jackson County. Tomorrow, the Ocean Springs Fire Department and the Moss Point Fire Department will have free hand sanitizer dispensers set up for the public.

The Moss Point Fire Department will have theirs set up in the parking lot across from city hall. Both locations will be distributing the hand sanitizer from noon until 3 p.m.

This is possible thanks to Family Frozen Foods and Merchants and Marine Banks donating several drums of hand sanitizer to fire departments in Jackson County. Family Frozen Foods Owner Terry Jackson said, “Decided that we’ve seen a need for this in the community. Jackson County has been hit hard. We’ve been in this town for a long time and wanted to do something to give back.”

There will be a limit of one eight ounce hand sanitizer per car. You need to bring your own empty bottle or container to fill up.
