Former Pascagoula star sentenced to prison

A former Pascagoula and University of Florida quarterback was sentenced to three months in prison for his involvement in a $20 million healthcare fraud conspiracy orchestrated by a former Gator teammate.
Shane Matthews, who played 14 years in the NFL, was sentenced for his role in an independent marketing company. The company was owned by Matthews’ former Florida teammate Monty Grow, who faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
