First Responders Annual Appreciation

Tonight, Keesler Federal Credit Union held its fourth annual First Responder Appreciation Dinner, but this time it was bigger than ever.

For the first time, the event was hosted for first responders in all three coastal counties. More than one thousand people RSVP’d for the event hosted at the Beau Rivage. Thirty-nine attendees were honored and recognized as first responders of the year.

In addition to the dinner and recognition, more than $16,000 was donated by local businesses in door prizes. Keesler Federal Credit Union CEO Andy Swoger said, “For Keesler Federal, the first responders create a community where we can thrive and our businesses thrive because they create a safe sound community for our families and for us to do business. So, essentially, we are giving back to our members, many of these responders are members of Keesler Federal, and even if they’re not, it’s okay because what they do for us is so important.”

Swoger says the Keesler Federal Credit Union plans to continue honoring first responders for years to come.
