Firework sales boom in Gulfport

Fireworks lit up the night sky in many areas on the Coast last night.

To celebrate the end of a year unlike any other, News 25 caught up with one vendor to see how sales shaped up this holiday season.

COVID delayed and canceled many firework shipments and weather was a big soggy overnight, but Eddie Lovitt, owner of White Lightning Fireworks, says he was able to have a successful sale leading into the new year.  “Sales were fantastic. Probably moved two-thirds of our inventory in just one day. We had some good sales leading up to it, but yesterday was awesome. We had some really good deals on some artillery shells. One was named neon and it sold out relatively early.”

Whatever does not sale will be packaged up and sold at their Fourth of July sale.
