Fighting Tigers Martial Arts Academy hosting free summer camp

The Fighting Tigers Marital Arts Academy is hosting a free summer camp for kids seven and up at Marsha Barbour Resource Center in Pass Christian.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn the 20 basics. Along with physical techniques, they will also learn mentally, including de-escalation techniques.

Senior Instructor Sean Smith has been involved in martial arts for the majority of his life and he believes it teaches discipline. “Because of the discipline that’s involved in it. We think that that will carry over into a lot more areas of their life… everything from school work to just how they present themselves in public. With a little more respect for others and themselves and it also teaches them aggression isn’t always the best way.”

The camp will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from June 26th through the 30th. Registration begins onsite at 9 a.m. Lunch will be provided to all participants.
