Family of Nolan Wells wants phone examined this week

The legal team for Nolan Wells family say they are ready to turn over his phone for a joint forensic examination.
In a letter sent to Jackson County District Attorney Angel Myers McIlrath Monday morning, the team asked her office to select a time between Tuesday and Friday for the examination.
The attorneys also asked the DA to confirm whether it will take place at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s digital forensics lab, as previously planned.
The legal team issued the following statement:
“We are eager to comply with the agreement we entered on July 15, which is a joint forensic examination of Nolan’s phone conducted together, with their experts, our experts, and possibly the FBI. Our experts are on standby. The family is ready. We have given the District Attorney’s office four days to choose from this week, and we will make ourselves available on 12 hours’ notice for any one of them.
“The family wants Nolan’s phone examined right away, with both parties in the room. All parties agreed on July 15 that we share the same goal, which is determining the circumstances surrounding Nolan’s death. The family is ready to move forward on that goal this week.”
