Families Reunited for the Holidays

Many family members work or attend school away from the Coast. The holidays often bring them home.
Throughout the day, there have been a number of family reunions at the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport, a living testament that today is one of the busiest travel days of the year.
Some families reunited after months or years apart. For some, they were brought together for the first time.
Gloria Badder, who flew in from Michigan to visit, said, “I’m coming to visit my daughter Ashley, my son-in-law and my grandson, my new grandson Ashton. This is the first time. It’s very nice. He’s just so cute!”
Anita and Amber Criegler are home for the holidays.
“I am in the Culinary Institute in Hyde Park, New York. It’s freezing up there. I’m excited to be home and see my family,” said Amber. “We’ve missed her. Just glad she’s home. I have both my babies home this week,” said Anita.
Everyone visiting from up north told News 25 they were simply happy to be home to warmer temperatures.
