Easter Recap Mississippi Coast

Easter Sunday was a day highlighting the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Christians all along the coast celebrated the major holiday in their own unique way.

Some churches held special services such as an early morning or “Sunrise” service.

Many churches enjoyed Easter programs filled with songs, speeches and skits from the youth of the congregation.

“Morning Star Baptist Church” member, Bruce Johnson, says although it’s the youth putting on the show. The holiday isn’t just for children.
