Democratic National Convention Begins

Today marks the beginning of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
With Donald Trump’s Republican National Convention in the books, Hillary Clinton hopes to rally her party as we move closer to Election Day in November.
Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Bernie Sanders and first lady Michelle Obama all spoke tonight.
Earlier this afternoon, News 25 spoke with Curley Clark, president of the Jackson County NAACP, who is in Philadelphia attending the convention. “We arrived yesterday. The convention will run through Thursday night. I think you are going to be able to see the Democratic leadership come out and present its case to the American people as to why Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine should be elected president of the United States. What I’m looking forward to is Michelle Obama, who is going to be one of the keynote speakers tonight at the opening session.”
News 25 will be in touch with Clark all week and will continue to bring you details as the convention moves on.
