Damaged pier to be restored by Blind Tiger

The old pier by the Blind Tiger in Biloxi hasn’t been the same since Hurricane Katrina.
For over a decade, the 207 foot pier has sat on Biloxi’s waterfront in shambles from the Hurricane. Now, with the help of the Blind Tiger, the pier will be restored. Once the project is complete people will be allowed to pull up their small powerboats, jet skis, paddle boards, kayaks or pontoon boats.
Blind Tiger Director of Operations Scott Sutherland tells News 25 restaurant customers have been asking them to rebuild the pier since their grand opening last February and they’re excited to finally get on board with the project. “I think it will give the public great access to our beautiful resources we have here on the Gulf Coast and give everyone the opportunity, whether that be a kayaker, jet-skier, boater, to come out, especially on days like today and enjoy everything we have here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.”
The City of Biloxi gave the Blind Tiger a permit to rebuild the pier this week. The project is expected to cost $30,000. Officials say the pier will be ready for boaters within the next few weeks.
