Construction begins on new welcome center on I-10 in Jackson County
JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Construction work on the new Jackson County Welcome Center kicked off last week.
MDOT says crews are in the process of demolishing the existing structure before work on the new building begins.
Work is expected to be complete by summer 2028.
As we’ve previously reported, the new welcome center is expected to provide modernized visitor service and enhanced accommodations for travelers entering Mississippi from Alabama.
