How City Hall prepares for Mardi Gras
Putting on a parade like the Gulf Coast Carnival Association Mardi Gras Parade takes a lot of work.
The City of Biloxi has the set up for this massive parade down to a science. Officials were out setting up the sound system at City Hall early this morning before the sun came out.
They do this so early to make sure everything runs smoothly come show time. August Taconi with Parade Setup said, “Well, we come early because there is a lot to set up. We want to make sure everything is working just fine because right down in the streets somewhere near noon, there will be dancing in the streets and song and dance and we want it to all go well for the folks.”
Officials weren’t the only ones getting ready early as numerous paradegoers were out setting up their spots this morning as well.
