CCA performs Southern Gospel Concert

The Christian Collegiate Academy Choir was singing their songs and praises tonight all for a good cause.

The singers presented a free Southern Gospel concert and are also helping out a local charity. They have chosen the Women’s Resource Center of Gulfport to donate anything from toddler toiletry items to monetary donations as well.

Choir Director Trae Spears tells News 25 this was another way to get involved with the community. “Well, we just think it’s really important, it’s an important place. I mean, it is resources for women. We just think it’s an important outreach in the community and it’s a big deal to the people at our school. So, that’s just one of those things that we like to try to incorporate across the board at CCA. We all do the same stuff together.”

If you missed out on tonight’s concert, they will be performing their Christmas recital next month at the auditorium located at Bible Baptist Church in Gulfport.
