Casino Royale Fundraiser for Gulf Coast Women’s Center for Nonviolence

According to the Gulf Coast Women’s Center for Nonviolence, one in four women and one in twelve men are affected by domestic violence.
That’s why they’re preparing to put on their Casino Royale $3,000 Drawdown Fundraiser, to raise money for those affected by domestic violence and sexual assault here on the Coast.
The fundraiser will feature entertainment by Jim Horn, food, games and lots of door prizes. The domestic violence program goes to providing shelter, case management, housing and counseling to support victims of abuse, an issue that affects thousands of people. Outreach prevention educator Rene Davis said, “A lot of people suffer in silence. We have to be able to get the word out to people that our services are available and we have to have those programs available when they get there to be able to shelter people. We have two shelters that we run in both Jackson County and Harrison County but we serve six counties, so our need is pretty great for funding.”
The fundraiser is from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on June 4th at the Frank Gruich Community Center in Biloxi. Tickets are $25 each. For more information, visit gcwcfn.org
