Brush Fire is Possibly Arson

Harrison County fire crews spent the afternoon battling a brushfire that they believe was intentionally set.
According to Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan, a witness called 9-1-1 when he saw a man in a gray or green pickup truck set the woods on Cemetery Road and Kendrick’s Lane in Saucier on fire.
Chief Sullivan says because the weather conditions are just right, the fire rapidly spread over 13 acres of land or more.
No residential area was threatened by the flames. Around 3:30 this afternoon, crews had the fire surrounded.
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department was also on the scene working to gather evidence that could lead to a suspect. If you have any information, you’re urged to contact authorities.
