Brush Fire in Pass Christian

A brush fire broke out in Harrison County today adding to the dangerously hot conditions.
According to Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan, the fire was reported around 2:30 this afternoon when someone in the area noticed heavy smoke on Bradley Road just off Kiln-Delisle Road in Pass Christian.
Chief Sullivan says the fire spread throughout three acres of land, but no residents were in immediate danger.
Harrison County Fire Service and the Pass Christian Fire Department worked to contain the flames until the Mississippi Forestry Commission arrived on the scene.
Where and how the fire started is still uncertain at this time.
Chief Sullivan tells News 25 that fires in hot temperatures require his men to hydrate frequently in an effort to avoid heat strokes.
