Body Discovered in Gulfport

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the recovery of a female’s body in Bayou Bernard Tuesday evening.
A body was found around 5 p.m. on the eastern shore of the bayou. Authorities say the body was slowly decomposing and was likely in the water for multiple days.
Autopsy results are pending to determine who the woman is and if foul play was involved.
