Biloxi woman arrested for shooting into a residence overnight
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV) — A Biloxi woman is behind bars after allegedly shooting into a home overnight.
Just before 1 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, officers with the Biloxi Police Department were in the 600 block of Division Street when they heard gunshots in the area.
Witness informed officers that gunshots had been fired from a vehicle.
It was also determined that a residence had been struck by gunfire. The witnesses provided a description of the vehicle and the direction it was traveling in.
Officers canvassed the area and encountered a vehicle matching the description provided.
A traffic stop was conducted and it was determined that the vehicle had been involved in the shooting.
An occupant of the vehicle, 26-year-old Delores Toni Jackson, of Biloxi, was subsequently identified as the individual who was allegedly responsible for the incident.
Jackson was arrested and charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling. She was incarcerated at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
No persons were injured during the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
