Biloxi High Hires New Baseball Coach

There’s a new head baseball coach in town for the Biloxi High School Indians.
Today, the Biloxi Public School District introduced Coach Eddie Lofton as the one to lead Indian Nation this season.
Coach Lofton comes from Clinton High School where he spent the last 10 years as the head baseball coach. While at Clinton, his team was in the 5A and 6A playoffs all ten of those years. His overall record is 398-197.
Coach Lofton says he is overwhelmed by the support from the school system and is looking forward to getting started with the team: “I’ve met a few of the parents so far but none of the players. I’ve ready a lot of things so that’s going to be new, going into something where I really don’t know much about any of them, but I’m jumping on board immediately. I will be working with them on Thursday. We’ve got four games Friday and Saturday and I’m going to be there with them. Like I said, I’m excited about it and I hope they’re just as excited about getting started with me.”
Lofton says he plans to bring Assistant Coach Andrew Gunn from Clinton High School.
Lofton is replacing former Biloxi High Baseball Head Coach Kevin Burdine.
