Biloxi Fire hosting a plate lunch benefit

Everyday firefighters risk their lives to help our community. Now is your chance to give back to them.

The Biloxi Fire Department will be hosting a plate lunch and raffle to benefit the Biloxi Firefighters Relief Fund.

The fund is dedicated to assisting Biloxi firefighters and their families in times of need. Deputy Chief in Training Nick Guiser said, “Firefighters are really prone to cancer. So, this can be used to help with deductibles and things like that when they are out of work and they are going through treatments. We have helped pay some of those medical bills. It also goes towards helping a guy out if bills have gotten hard at the house. So, I mean there are a lot of things that go on in today’s world and you never know a person’s situation.”

The plates will be served Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Biloxi Fire Museum on Howard Avenue. Pre-orders will be taken on Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. You can call 601-954-1888 to place your order.
