Bill Killing Deadline Coming up in Jackson

State lawmakers are back at the capital today for what is set to be a busy week.
Committees are expected to be running at full speed passing bills to their full chambers. This is in advance of the first killing deadline of the legislative session.
January 31st is the deadline for committees to pass out general bills originating from their own chamber. Those left in committee will die.
Hundreds of bills typically die in committee each year.
