Bill To Expand “Go-Cup” Districts
The to-go cup law has been in effect for several cities along the coast for a few months and soon the law may be extended to include other municipalities around the state.
The bill which passed the senate Thursday would include Livingston, Natchez, Laurel, Clinton, Cleveland, Vicksburg, and Ridgeland in the “Go-Cup” zones.
The “To Go-Cup” law allows people to leave bars with their drinks in approved boundaries and has been working well in Gulfport, Biloxi and Ocean Springs.
The bill to expand areas across the state allowing “To-Go Cups” now moves to the house for further debate.
