Bay St. Louis after-prom shooting victim laid to rest
De’Arreis Smith, the Hancock High senior who was killed April 30th in the after-prom party in Bay St. Louis, was laid to rest Saturday.
The senior, affectionally known as DD, was born in New Orleans, and raised in Pearlington.
De’Arreis had plans to join the military after graduation.
His funeral was held at Greater Northshore Full Gospel Baptist Church in Slidell, followed by his burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery in New Orleans.
