Arrests Made in String of Gulfport Armed Robberies
Gulfport Police have made arrests in regard to a string of burglaries in Gulfport over the past week.
36 year old Kezi Latanya Jefferson has been charged with one count of armed robbery and 30 year old Rinaldo Eugene Norrial has been charged with three counts of armed robbery.
Their arrests were made after the armed robbery at Papa John’s on Pass Road off Highway 49 Thursday night. Employees reported a black male entered the business, brandished a handgun, demanded money, and then fled on foot. The suspect was later located, arrested, and identified as Rinaldo Norris. The suspect vehicle fled the area as officers arrived. It was later located and Jefferson was arrested at that time.
In the followup investigation, it was learned that Norris was also the suspect involved in a March 11 armed robbery at a Subway on 25th Avenue as well as a March 15 armed robbery at a Subway on East Pass Road.
Norris and Jefferson are currently being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on $300,000 and $20,000 bonds, respectively.
