Angel Meyers McIlrath appointed district attorney for the 19th district

Governor Phil Bryant announced today the appointment of Angel Myers McIlrath of Ocean Springs to take over as district attorney for the 19th District beginning next year.

Myers McIlrath will fill the seat left by Tony Lawrence who was elected to a seat in the state court of appeals.

The 19th district serves Jackson, George, and Greene Counties.

Myers McIlrath has served as assistant district attorney for the district since 2006.
