7/28 – Payton’s Sunday Night Forecast
FORECAST: What a beautiful weekend. Monday will be similar with the chance for a few t-storms. Tuesday brings our best chance for rain as a front stalls out to our north. This pattern continues throughout the remainder of the week with temperatures around 90 degrees in the afternoon with a few popup t-storms possible everyday.
TROPICS: Just in time for August the tropics look like they’re heating up. Invest 95 is a tropical wave in the Eastern Caribbean. It’s forecast to move toward Florida this week and has a very low chance of development. The next several days it will be fighting wind shear, but by the end of the week it might move into a more favorable environment. Most models kick the system out along the East Coast and into the Atlantic. For now we’ll just keep an eye on it. Another strong tropical wave is coming off Africa. It’s thousands of miles away from the Caribbean. It’s too soon to say what it does, but it’s one we’ll keep a close eye on as it makes its way west this week into next week.
