Easter Egg-Stravaganza hops back to Gulfport

To spread a little Easter cheer, the City of Gulfport held their Easter Egg-Stravaganza this evening.

Two years ago, it didn’t happen and last year it was just a drive-thru, but this year, the Easter Egg-Stravaganza was 100 percent back in Gulfport.

The free event was held at the Gulfport Sportsplex and featured a variety of games and activities for children of all ages to enjoy such as balloon animals, arts and crafts, pictures with the Easter Bunny and more.

Once the clock struck 6:30 the kids were able to participate in an Easter egg hunt where they were able to snatch up as many eggs as they could.

Each egg had different prizes in them such as candy or toys. City of Gulfport Special Events Manager Brittany Dyes said, “I’m super excited because everyone has been like cooped up and just to get out and be able to socialize again with people and just have a good time and share this memory with your children and your family and to be able to use our sportsplex facility, so just come on down to Gulfport.”

Once the hunt was over, the kids got down and cracked open their eggs, looking to see what goodies they were able to find.
