TROPICS: Tropical Storm Chris off the East Coast is expected to become the second hurricane of the season tonight or early Tuesday. It will cause rough seas off the East coast, but the strongest winds will stay over the open water. The remnants of Beryl continue to move toward Puerto Rico, but as the tropical wave moves toward the Bahamas it will have to be monitored for redevelopment. There is not tropical threat to South Mississippi at the moment.
