Singing River Health System to host job fair Monday

Singing River Health System is planning to host a job fair this upcoming Monday.

Singing River Health System is back with another job fair at a much-needed time. The fair will be held on February 7^th at the Win Center in Gulfport from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Recruiter Taylor Nations said, “Basically you’ll come to the event, you’ll sit down with us, we’ll talk to you, see what position best fits your needs and then we’ll go to a computer and we can file an application there right on the spot.”

Both clinical and non-clinical jobs will be available and guests will be able to talk to recruiters face-to-face. Visitors are not required to bring anything to participate in the event, but a resume is recommended. Recruiter Vanessa Raines said, “Even if you have no idea what you want to do, just bring a resume and we can analyze it and place you where you fit best.”

While jobs of all types are available, many clinical positions such registered nurses are in desperate need of help due to the COVID-caused shortages. Singing River Chief Nursing Officer Heather Rowley said, “Our nursing staffing is not just day-to-day but shift to shift, so we look at our staffing every day all day. Right now, we have nurses that are sick.”

If you are not able to make this fair, the hospital plans to host others on the first Monday of every month. “We’re just excited to have this event and we hope that everyone can come out and come see what we have to offer.”
