MSU Defense Going With The Flow
When a college football head coach leaves the program… It’s not just a singular move.
All of a sudden, assistant coaches are coming and going as well… Leaving a team like Mississippi State… In a state of flux… Leading up to its bowl game.
The defense in particular, now coached by interim DC Ron English… Will have a brand new defensive coordinator… But not until after the tax slayer bowl, versus Louisville.
First-year head man Joe Moorhead has hired some people, onto his staff… But none of them will be starting, until the conclusion… Of the 20-17 season.
Until then, it does all about adapt and overcome… For the Bulldog defense.
“We’re all buying in. Once everything had happened people started leaving, ain’t nothing changed. I mean we’re still going out there and giving maximum effort, as usual. We all came in together. Like I told you, it’s a business and they’re doing what they have to do to win the bowl game.”

“I feel like we’ve been mature about the situation and everything. I mean it affected us with the coaches leaving and everything like that but as a young team you’ve got to fight through adversity and stuff like that, and we’ve got some young guys out there, we’ve got some older guys out there. I feel like we’re being very mature about the situation because we do want to go out with a W.”
