08/04 Ryan’s “Manageable Heat” Tuesday Morning Forecast
Expect another day of manageable heat before it gets wetter and more humid later on this week.
We’re off to a beautifully sunny start and in for another day of manageable heat as we head into the afternoon! That’s still largely due to the lower humidity we’ve been enjoying since late Sunday after a front barely moved through the area. That brought our dewpoints down from the 77-79° range where we were last week, potentially as low as 70° later today. That’s still “muggy” by most people’s standards, but a dramatic improvement for us! That means while our afternoon high isn’t all that much cooler than last week’s, our heat index will struggle to pass 100° today while we were looking at between 115-120° last Tuesday. I also expect today to be even drier than yesterday, which only saw a couple of showers in Jackson & George Counties. Expect a light wind out of the west between 5-10 mph.
