Jackson County officials urge residents to continue monitoring river levels after heavy rainfall
JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Jackson County EMA officials are urging coastal residents to still monitor river conditions following last week’s heavy rain.
Residents are recommended to utilize NOAA river gauges for the latest updates with the Escatawpa River above Orange Grove currently at 6.7 feet, the Pascagoula River at Merrill at 24.2 feet, and the Pascagoula River at Graham Ferry at nearly 17 feet.
Even though the storm has passed, flood dangers can linger. It is important to stay informed and keep a close eye on changing water levels.
