Alabama man extradited to George County, faces child abuse and sexual battery charges

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV) – A 49-year-old man from Baldwin County, Alabama has been extradited to George County following an extensive investigation into reports of alleged sexual and physical abuse.
Tony Fairley was initially charged with three counts of sexual battery and two counts of child abuse after multiple people reported incidents that allegedly happened over several years, according to the George County Sheriff’s Office.
Since returning to George County, investigators have now added one count of molestation and one count of grooming.
Fairley’s total bond has been set at $800,000, and he is being held at the George County Regional Correctional Facility pending further court proceedings.
“This case is a testament to the dedication of our investigators and our commitment to protecting victims in George County. We take these allegations extremely seriously and will continue to pursue justice for those affected. I appreciate the cooperation of all agencies involved in helping bring Mr. Fairley back to George County to answer for these charges,” said George County Sheriff Mitchell Mixon.
