City of Ocean Springs welcomes Hibernia Irish Society Parade

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- Ocean Springs city officials are making final preps in these days leading up to St. Patricks’ Day.

It’s a big move for the City of Discovery as this marks the city’s first year hosting the Hibernia Irish Society Parade after being based in Biloxi since its inception.

Pre parade celebrations begin at 10 a.m. Saturday with the parade rolling at 1 in downtown.

Parking along the parade route will not be allowed after 3:30 a.m. Saturday and all streets along the parade route will close at noon in preparation for the parade.

The city is putting up ‘No Parking’ signage ahead of the event as well.
