03/11 Waylon’s “Weather Kid” Wednesday Forecast

Today we meet Waylon, this week's WXXV Weather Kid!

It is Wednesday in South Mississippi which means we get to meet this week’s WXXV Weather Kid, Waylon! Waylon was a joy to have in the studio. He apparently watches the Weather Channel for fun, and asked many great questions about meteorology in general and how things work behind the scenes. He took the lead during the forecast, and did an excellent job! When not watching the weather, you can find Waylon playing baseball or basketball when it’s warm outside, or inside reading or playing games if it’s too cold or rainy. Always keeping an eye to the sky, he knows what to do when stronger storms move in, retreating to a windowless, low-level room to ride out the worst. We have a low chance of seeing a few stronger storms tonight, so he’ll be watching and recommends you stay “weather aware” as well!
