Mississippi State awarded Coastal Resilience grant

Mississippi State is one of just eight universities nationwide to receive a new grant to support Coastal resilience.

The Envision Resilience National Design Studio Grant supports community-based design studios that focus on real-world climate challenges.

This project will bring MSU students in architecture, planning, and landscaping architecture together to work directly with Gulf Coast communities.

Students will help develop climate-adaption strategies for urban, rural, and coastal areas while working alongside local leaders and community organizations.

University leaders say the grant will help prepare students to design more resilient South Mississippi communities for the future.
