American Red Cross discusses the importance of giving blood

There’s always a need for blood across the country and the state.

Denise Smith with the American Red Cross joins us to discuss the importance of giving blood.

American Red Cross will be holding a few upcoming blood drives to help with the shortage.

The first one is at the MGCCC Jackson County campus on February 26. On the same day, Memorial Hospital Biloxi will be hosting a drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Homestead Assisted Living Home in D’Iberville will be hosting their blood drive from 10 to 2 on February 27.

On March 2, there will be a blood drive at IP Casino from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

March 5 at Keesler Federal Park, you can donate blood from 1 to 6 p.m.
