02/13 Ryan’s “Parade Weekend” Friday Forecast

Mardi Gras is almost here, and we take a look at potential rain for this weekend's parade activity.

As we close in on the weekend before Mardi Gras, parades are getting ready to roll! We do have some rain moving in around the same time, so while I believe there isn’t anything happening that’ll keep anyone inside, it will likely rain on your parade at least a little. Rain chances are highest Saturday night, but spotty showers could possibly begin setting up as early as Saturday around noon as the first parades get going. A few thunderstorms are possible, but for at least right now there isn’t a significant severe threat for South MS…though that may change. We’re still expecting rain in the area as the evening parades get going, but still spotty until we head through the overnight hours. Sunday afternoon will see the showers thinning out as the front passes through, but showers are still possible for the d’Iberville parade.

Just add an umbrella or rain jacket to your parade gear!
