Hancock County Library System receives 2026 Cultural Heritage Digitization Award

HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Hancock County Library System has been selected as the 2026 Cultural Heritage Digitization Award recipient.

This means the library will receive training and digitization services, capturing and showcasing items from their scrapbooks.

The scrapbooks consist of photos, newspaper clippings, event programs, and staff annotations.

These scrapbooks date back to 1934, created by staff to document all programs and community interaction.
