New rules ahead of Long Beach parade

The City of Long Beach is putting out safety tips ahead of this week’s parade.

The city says due to concerns by CSX last year about cars and paradegoers being close to the tracks, extra precaution is being taken.

Added is fencing and no trespassing signage along the tracks.

Residents and visitors are also asked to stay clear of the tracks, respect fencing and signs, avoid setting up near the tracks and to make sure any rebar staking is capped properly.
