University of Southern Miss awarded $2.1 million

The University of Southern Mississippi has been awarded a major federal grant aimed at improving student success.

The U.S. Department of Education awarded Southern Miss a $2.1 million five-year grant to help remove barriers students face in completing their degrees.

The funding will support predictive analytics, enhanced advising and mentoring, faculty development, and expanded career readiness efforts from enrollment through graduation.
