Ryan’s Wednesday Night Forecast

I’ve backed off on the rain percentages for tonight, the system has moved considerably slower and only isolated showers are forecast through tonight and into tomorrow morning. These showers will slowly increase in frequency and strength as we head into tomorrow (Thursday) night, before we’ll start to see the severe storms moving in. We will be under a marginal risk of severe weather, meaning we can expect small hail, lightning, 40-60 mph winds, and a low chance of isolated tornadoes. The main issue with this system will be the heavy rains with between 3 and 7 inches expected. Couple that with our strong southerly winds, coastal flood advisory, high tides, runoff from the North, and our own heavy rainfall and you can see where our biggest worry lies, with flooding. We still have one full day before any truly threatening weather begins so we will be sure to keep you informed on the website, social media (www.facebook.com/wxxvmahan or /wxxv25), twitter (@wxxvryan), and during our shows.
