One person dead, and another seriously injured in head-on collision on Highway 607 in Hancock County
HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV) — A Picayune woman was killed and another driver seriously injured in a head-on crash early Sunday morning in Hancock County, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 5 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026, along Highway 607.
Investigators say a 2021 Toyota Corolla, driven by 23-year-old Hope Dabrovolskis of Picayune, was traveling north on Highway 607 when it collided with a 2019 Ram 1500 traveling south. The truck was driven by 50-year-old Clifton Wilkerson of Pass Christian.
Dabrovolskis suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
Wilkerson sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash has not been released, and the incident remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
