The Jackson County Fire Protection team is sharing tips on railroad crossing safety.

The crew says it is essential to follow these guidelines:

  • Never trespass
  • Always use designated crossings
  • Look and listen at crossings
  • Obey warning signals

It’s also advised drivers maintain a safe distance and assume a train could be approaching at any time.
