10/01 Ryan’s “Still Summery” Wednesday Morning Forecast
Things are still a touch on the summery side as we begin October, but a slight cool-down is on the way.
A few of our recent mornings have been cooler, but afternoons have stayed on the summery side. Yesterday in particular climbed into the low 90s after the expected cloud cover didn’t build in quite as thickly as initially expected, with noticeable humidity. I wouldn’t say it’s been “muggy,” but dewpoints have lingered near the mid 60s which has given us a nice, summery heat index bump each afternoon. Still, it hasn’t been too bad and we’ve had at least a few fall weather teases. Today will be a touch cooler than yesterday due to a quick pop of clouds and the very low chance of a stray, short-lived shower. Things do get a little cooler and drier as we finish off the week though ahead of a wetter weekend.
Tropics: Humberto is still hanging on to hurricane status for another few hours, while Imelda slowly strengthens ahead of a a potential Bermuda landfall Thursday morning. There are no other areas of interest or potential development.
